Professional Internships
ONLY IN THE ICUM ARE YOU OFFERED 1,700 HOURS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AS PART OF YOUR DEGREE PROGRAM.

Professional internships allow you to begin gaining valuable professional experience while studying providing you with the opportunity to competitively develop your resume and to develop important relationships with establised industry professional before graduating.

Also, with professional internships in foreign countries, ICUM not only expands your professional vision but also provides you with an invaluable opportunity for personal growth by working and living with a culture that is not your own.

Thanks to the academic agreements that ICUM has developed over the years, you can complete your professional internshipsin some of the most recognized hotels and restaurants in the world.

In order to maintain an equalibrium with your studies, your professional internships are only performed during the summer and/or winter recess.

In the 1st semester you must complete your professional internship in your city of origen, Puebla or Monterrey.

Starting in the 2nd semester you have the option of selecting a national professional internship provided you have completed all of the academic and administrative prerequisites of the institute.

Starting in the 4th semester you can elect to perform professional internships up to 9 times in a foreign country. The ICUM has agreements with a variety of hotels and restaurants if you choose to continue performing professional internships.

You have a choice of perfomring the following types of professional internships:

• ADMINISTRATION (the food and drink industry)
• CULINARY ARTS
• BAKING AND DESSERTS
