Admission Exam Processes

1. Download the Admission Exam Request Form for undergraduate studies here.

2. Complete the form with your information and send it electronically to:

3. The recption of your registration will be confirmed either by telephone or email and you will receive a registration number, the date and place where you will apply your exam.

4. Payments are to be made at any Banamex bank noting the date of your deposit and the following information:
BRANCH: 0042
ACCOUNT: 0066462
NUMERIC REFERENCE: Your registration number that was assigned to you and supplied by telephone or mail when you received the date and location of your exam.

ADMISSION PROCESS:
The admission process at the Instituto Culinario de México seeks to evaluate the individual skills and abilities of the applicante in order to evaluate their development potential during their studies. During the admissions process, the following are taken into account:

1. Academic aptitude results (College Board):

2. If required, English language proficiency exam results (Elash II):

3. Interview with members of the Admissions Committee (this can occure on the day of the exam or by telephone on a previous or later date)

4. Academic record (Highschool record, formal recognitions or awards)

EXAM DAY
Before the exam: The following documents must be submitted prior to writing your admission exam (please note that any offical documents must be provided in Spanish for legal purposes):

  • Proof of deposit to write the admission exam.
  • Birth certificate (original and two copies).
  • Social Security Number or the equivalent thereof.
  • Grade school transcript (original and two copies).
  • Highschool transcript (original and two copies).

*If you have not yet completed your highschool studies but wish to apply, please provide your current highschool transcipt , dated and with your most current grade average listed.

All study certificates must be legalized during your state of processing in order to expedite the process through the National Education System and the UNAM. If you completed your grade school and/or highschool studies in a foreign country you must complete the validation process through the federal or state offices of the Secretariate of Public Education (SEP)

  • A letter of good conduct during highschool study period.
  • Two letters of recomendation from non-family members.
  • 3 black and white photographs (wallet-sized)
  • Medical exams: Upon acceptance you will be asked to obtain a medical exam in order to complete the admission process. These exams must be completed by an ICUM authorized medical practitioner to ensure the quality and rapid processing of your results.

RESULT SUBMISSION :
You will receive your results no later than 10 business days after completing the admissions process by telephone, email or by post.
